We have recently added a new events section to the site where you can when and where local triathlons are taking part in the area. The system is still work in progress and we will hopefully be adding some features to allow you to filter the list by event type etc. If you are taking part in one and it isn’t listed then just send us the details to firstname.lastname@example.org and we can pop in on the website.
As is the modern way we have created a Facebook group for King’s Lynn Triathlon Club at http://www.facebook.com/groups/kltri/ The group will allow you to meet and chat to fellow members in the future.
While the King’s Lynn Triathlon Club aims to train in the King’s Lynn area, it doesn’t mean triathletes from a wider area shouldn’t join our club. West Norfolk doesn’t have a large amount of triathlon clubs and we believe we can help to fill that void. If you’re from Hunstanton, Wisbech, Swaffham, Downham Market or anywhere else for that matter then you’ll be very welcome at the triathlon club. If an area shows a large level of interest we might be able to run sessions in that town. Why not? So if you’re in Norfolk and looking for a local triathlon club, we are probably more local than you think.
The start of a club We would like to say thank you for taking the time to sign up to our Newsletter and for showing your interest in King’s Lynn Triathlon Club. We initially setup the website with the hope of seeing if a triathlon club could grow in the town of King’s Lynn and we have been very pleased with your response. We’ve had lots of sign ups, interest from the local news and also the Council. All this is very positive for creating a new club. Alongside Triathlon England we have been working through the early stages of forming a new club. We are continuing along this path and are currently looking at options for training venues, looking for grants to setup the club and starting to form a committee to take the newly formed club forward. We want to ensure this is done correctly so the club begins on solid foundations. We aim to build the club around an ethos of fun, friendship and to remain accessible to all those interested in the sport of Triathlon. We want to encourage those interested in their first triathlon as well as those looking to compete at a higher level. Read the Rest…
We have created a fully featured website rather than just the simple holding page we had. Once it was decided to progress with the club we quickly moved to get a website to promote the club further. Hopefully you like it, and if you have any comments or suggestions please send them to email@example.com
